: A common question asked is, “Where does the ambulance come from?” The answer can vary based on where you live and how long it takes to get to your residence during an emergency. After all, there is no legal requirement that ambulance service must be provided, unlike police and fire. This presentation explores the operation of the UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown Ambulance Service. It will cover payment, how the ambulance is staffed, the difference between an EMT and Paramedic, as well as the difference between hospital-based and public/government ambulance services. $15 for Creative Retirement members.
