How do I register and pay for a class?

There are several ways to register and pay for Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions (BCS) classes, including online, phone or in person. Acceptable payment includes Visa®, MasterCard®, or Discover®. If you choose to pay in person or by mail, you may also pay with cash or by check - please fill out this registration form and include it with your payment. (Note: ALL returned checks will be assessed an additional fee of $30 and repayment must be made with cash or credit card).

How do I create my profile?

To utilize online registration, view your profile and classes, first-time users must click Create New Student Profile. This will create your own username, password and profile. For assistance or questions, please contact us via e-mail at IVBCSinfo@iavalley.edu or by phone at 800-284-4823.


Can I purchase gift certificates for classes?

Yes, gift certificates are available for purchase through our registration site.

Can my employer pay for my course?

We can bill an organization or agency for BCS class charges. To do so, we must receive verification from that party, indicating which of your charges (tuition, fees, books, etc.) they are willing to pay. Can I cancel my registration in a class?

To withdraw your registration before a class starts, you must contact us via e-mail at IVCEinfo@iavalley.edu or by phone at 800-284-4823.

What is the refund policy?

Effective September 1, 2024, students who cancel their registration at least 3 business days before the class start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 3 business days of the start date are non-refundable. Please note that some classes may have earlier advertised cancellation deadlines. If a class is canceled by BCS, a full refund will be issued.

How do I print a receipt?

To print a receipt for classes just sign in and select My Transactions then locate your class. Under Action, select Print View, then print your receipt.

How do I print a transcript?

To print a current transcript of classes after August 15, 2018, just sign in and select My Transcript from the menu bar on the left side of your screen. In the upper left corner of the export link, select the format you would like and print. Inclement Weather

When is a course canceled?

BCS makes every effort to maintain the schedule of classes as announced in our catalog. However, we reserve the right to cancel classes, change instructors, switch rooms, and combine classes when necessary without previous announcement. If this occurs, you will receive a refund if you do not transfer to a different class section. Can I register for a class that is full?

Some classes have a maximum class size and for specific reasons, that maximum number must be adhered to. For example, a computer course is limited in size by the number of computers available in that classroom. If you wish to be considered for registration in a class that is currently full, you can request to be added to a waiting list by signing in online and clicking Add Me to the Waiting List next to the class that is full. If an opening becomes available, a BCS team member will contact you to finalize your registration. 

How do I update my profile?

You may edit or update your student profile at any time. After signing in, access the link entitled My Profile to change any of the information. Click Edit at the bottom of the page. You may then edit any of your profile fields. When you are finished with your edits, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit.
