Nurse Aide Phase 1 or 76 Hour Nurse Aide

Please read:  Oakview Class. 76 hours of class is MANDATORY. Students must be present for ALL class, lab, and clinical in order to pass. *Please note 30 hours of clinical will be scheduled by the instructor following the classroom/lab portion and hours may be different than classroom/lab hours. Skills and Computer testing will be scheduled following the completion of clinical hours. Class will be held in Conrad, Ia at Oakview Nursing Home along with clinicals. Lab will be held in Marshalltown at MCC. Cost of the Nurse Aide includes: • 6th Edition, Nursing Assisting: A Foundation in Caregiving, Hartman Publishing, and Workbook Nursing Assisting a Foundation in Caregiving, 6th Edition, Hartman Publishing, new one time use workbook. • Background check fee Not included: • Watch with second hand, Ceil Blue Scrub & clean shoes. • Influenza Vaccine, Two-step TB Test, Copy of up-to-date immunizations • Transportation to the clinical site • State Skills and Written Competency Exams Funding may be available for eligible participants. Clinical Dates- July 14th 2:00 PM-10:00 PM, July 16th 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, July 20th 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, July 23rd 4:00 PM-10:00 PM. Testing date- TBD
