Day Trip to Newton

During this one-day trip to Newton, we will visit the Maytag Dairy Farms, the home of the world’s most noted blue cheese; take in a narrated tour of Newton’s 100+ street public art exhibits by Linda Klepinger, Director of the Newton Center of Arts and Artists; visit TPI Composites, which has built over 40,000 large turbine blades and watch them being made; and lastly visit and tour the Newton Speedway, the “fastest short track on the planet.” Caution: There will be short bus rides, some standing, some walking, and some stairs. Participants are required to wear long pants/slacks, hard soled shoes with no open toes. Wheelchairs not allowed. Fee includes transportation; lunch on your own. $34 Creative Retirement members. Register early, limit 25.
