This course will cover the life and major accomplishments of Leonardo da Vinci, one of the greatest geniuses of all time. He did major work at the close of the fifteenth and beginning of the sixteenth centuries, and the time of the Italian High Renaissance. He was trained as an artist and painted some of the most famous artworks such and the Mona Lisa, and mural of the Last Supper; however, he also delved into science, engineering, and anatomy, conceiving of many inventions that were far ahead of his time, particularly in the areas of flight and aviation. This course will emphasize Leonardo’s scientific and engineering achievements. $34 for Creative Retirement members.
