Phlebotomy Technician

This 110-hour Phlebotomy Technician Program prepares professionals to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. You will become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely. Classroom work includes terminology, anatomy and physiology; blood collection procedures; specimen hands-on practice; and clinical training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods. The program also includes lab exercises, live blood draws, work with a training arm and other exercises intended to prepare you to function as an entry level Phlebotomy Technician. Funding may be available for eligible participants. For more information call 641-752-4645. The following is included in the cost of this class: materials and supplies, background check, NHA Certification review, and initial certification exam. You may have additional costs associated with the clinical experience for AHA-BLS for Healthcare Providers (if not already certified), uniform & immunizations. The registration deadline is one week prior to the start date.
