Basic Welding

During this basic welding course, you will learn proper weld safety, machine setup and basic welding techniques in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions GMAW (MIG) and SMAW (stick) with 6010 and 7018 electrodes.  This course will also go over basic knowledge using oxyfuel cutting and plasma cutting.  Open to anyone entering Junior year of high school or older.  Must wear leather shoes, long sleeves & long pants.  No prior welding experience necessary.  Price includes material and lab fees.  This course is required to participate in open lab.  Funding may be available for eligible participants; for more information, call 641-844-5629.
