Learn the basics of meat cutting in a hands-on, beginner-friendly class hosted at Nimrod meats. Students will explore slaughter overview, carcass breakdown, cutting and trimming, grinding, smoking, packaging, preparation, and final presentation. This course is designed for individuals interested in learning more about meat processing, meat counter operations, or pursing additional meat industry training. This is an introductory course and may lead into a full certification course to become a butcher. This class includes classroom learning and then moving into the "lab" to learn hands on. The course is offered in partnership with Nimrod Meats.

 Must wear closed toed shoes in the lab, which will be in a 40-degree environment. All other equipment needed will be provided.
